The Process
Roast Film Festival isn't about participation trophies. It's about high-velocity growth through brutal, unvarnished truth. Here's exactly how it works.
Upload your masterpiece. We accept all formats, but we only accept courage. Pay the $9 entry fee to enter the arena. We use FilmFreeway — clean, fast, no drama.
Submit on FilmFreewayOur panel of critics takes a blowtorch to your pacing, acting, and dialogue. No mercy. You'll receive a detailed written roast within 7 days of the season closing.
Pick up the pieces. Use the brutal truth to rebuild. Those who survive the roast are the ones who actually make it to the big screens. We don't just find mistakes; we find your potential through elimination.
The Details
Our panel of critics will tear your work apart within one week after the season closes. We take our time — your film deserves a thorough dismantling.
A detailed, ruthless written roast covering every aspect of your film. Plus a shareable punchline card you can post on socials.
Small price to pay for professional humiliation. Non-refundable. Ever. That's less than what most festivals charge for silence.
Before You Jump
Submit through FilmFreeway and include a YouTube link to your film (unlisted is fine). We accept all genres — shorts, features, experimental, animated. We only review via YouTube, so make sure your film is uploaded there before submitting.
Only with your explicit consent. You'll receive your roast privately first. If you want it in the public archive (and trust us, the brave ones do), just say the word.
No. You're paying for honesty, and honesty doesn't come with a money-back guarantee. Non-refundable. Ever.
Roasts are delivered within 7 days of the season's deadline. We take our time. Your film deserves a thorough dismantling, not a rushed one.
RFF runs on a monthly cycle. Each season has a submission window and a deadline. After the deadline closes, all films are roasted and results are delivered together. One batch of films, one batch of destruction.
Season 01 — Submissions Open
Every minute you spend hesitating is a minute your film stays mediocre. Let us fix that.
